Happy New Year everyone!

This afternoon I decided to start a 365 project where I take a photo each day! Hopefully this will help improve my photography skills because I'd like to take better photos!

Here is today's photo!

It's been very hot here lately (and tomorrow is going to be even hotter!) so I've been sitting inside with the air conditioning on crocheting and soon I'll put some of the things I've made up on our etsy shop which will be up and running very soon!! If you look at the photo of Saffy above closely, you might be able to see a bit of one of my new hat designs!! :D

Meet Saffron Blue!!

After a lot of thinking and name suggesting over the past few days, earlier this afternoon my Mum came up with the name Saffron, Saffy for short. I really liked it and looked it up on the internet and the description of the colour saffron is a goldie-yellow colour.

Then later on we went to my grandparents' house and my Grandad called her Rusty and then said that sometimes Aussies call redheads Bluey or Blue. So that's how the name Saffron Blue came about! :)

In the next few days I'm going to do a post about my graduation and last few days at Primary School!

P.S. Today and yesterday my Mum has been making things for my friends and she experimented by making this really cute bubble dress that we MIGHT sell in our soon-to-be etsy shop!!! :D

Hello!

It's seems like a long time ago since I last posted. I've been really busy at school because I've just finished grade 6 and have been busy with graduation and end of school stuff, but I'll post about that later.

Anyway, Merry Christmas!! On Sunday morning my family and I woke up to a loud thunder boom and decided to get up and open presents. Here are some of my favourites! -

A new Blythe doll - Cloud 9 Bowl!

I'm trying to think of a good name for her but at the moment I can't decide!

A china owl from my Aunty, Uncle and cousins!

A red Gumboots watch from my friend Mia!

And some Sue Sensi bracelets from my sisters!

Every year, on the first day of December we put up our Christmas tree, but we also have Christmas countdown stockings that my Mum made a few years ago.

Sorry about the bad photo :P

Each day my Mum writes a little rhyme and puts it in the stocking. The rhyme could be about making some gingerbread and my Mum might give us some new Christmas cookie cutters, or even a new wii game! My favourite stocking was when we went to buy a new ornament. One day when my sisters and I leave home, we can take all of our ornaments to put on our own trees. I bought a big glass owl -

Tomorrow I'm going to post about my last week of school which includes my graduation and saying goodbyes on the oval. It was really sad :(

P.S. I'd like to apologise to a few people who have been waiting for me to send them a parcel. Over the holidays I'm going to finish them off and send them to you guys but I'm sorry that you've had to wait so long.

Hello!!!

About a week ago, I got a parcel in the mail!!! It was the La Boutique de Lupi outfit that we'd ordered for my Blythe doll, Velvet!!

I was SO excited!!!!

So, here it is!!

Velvet loves her new outfit... she might even wear it to a few Christmas parties ;D

Can you believe that it's all been hand sewn!!! It's SO neat!!! :D

Hello!!!

Today I went to the market with my family and we found this little shop called Exquisite and it sold lots of things such as china figurines, dolls house furniture and kimmi junior accessories, but most of all, it sold REMENT!!!!

There was SO much to choose from but I chose a little china owl -

and a little jar of lollies!!

It's so cool because you can actually take the lollies out! Sadly, you can't eat them though :D

Lucinda also got some things - a little Gollywog doll and a jar of lollies as well!

Halloween!!!!

As you might already know, yesterday was Halloween. So, the other day my Mum made me a candy-corn dress for Velvet Brown to wear!!! It looks SO cute on her!!! I LOVE it!! Thank-you SO much Mum!!! :)

This afternoon I also had a photoshoot with Velvet in her new dress!!

These are only a couple of photos from the photoshoot though.

The one above is one of my favourite photos of Velvet that I have!! :)

Then, I took Velvet into her house. She was very surprised when I explained to her that it wasn't finished....

Velvet: "WOW! It's awesome! When can I move in?"
Me: "ahh well... it's not exactly.. um finished yet.."
Velvet: "You mean?! What!?

What have I still got to do in the Blythe house? Well, another coat of paint on a couple of the walls and ceiling and spotty contact on the floors! Oh and we also painted the outside with blackboard paint so that you can write on the outside!! :D

Miniature Blythe Magazine drawing!

Hello!!

Have you heard about the Blythe magazine "Blythiful" that is soon to be released? Well, the other day I received an email from the lovely Emily, asking me and several others (Zali, Poppy, Django and Bella) if we would like to contribute to a miniature Blythe colouring in book that the lady who is making Blythiful magazine, Priscilla, asked Emily to create.

Hello!

Yesterday afternoon Olivia came over to my house and we made Blythe mini quilts!

We also decorated cupcakes....

...and took photos of our Blythe dolls in my room!

Holidays....

Hello!!

Yesterday I had my friend Holli over because we were researching for our school project. It has been very wet and stormy lately so we weren't surprised when we heard thunder and went into my sisters' room to watch. Suddenly there was a huge bolt of lightning and thunder and we saw a cloud of smoke in the distance. Coloured sparks started exploding into the air and our power went out!!

The power was out until about 5:00 when my good friends Sophia and Cherry Blossom came to my house for a sleepover. My Mum had to go collect my Dad from the station because it was so wet. We decided to make felt things - in the dark! (we had candles and lanterns though!) Then, just as my Mum was leaving, the power came back on!

We had an awesome time after that making felt cubes and monsters!

Then we watched some TV before going to bed - and watching a movie! We were up until around 1AM and I am SO tired!

The next morning we finished making our felt creations!

Later on in the afternoon I went to see the new movie 'Monte Carlo' starring Selena Gomez with my friend Holli. It was really good!! And if you haven't seen the Smurfs movie yet you should DEFINITELY go see that - I went to see it with my friends the other day and it was REALLY CUTE!!!

Meeting Olivia!!!

Hello!

Remember how I mentioned that I was going to meet Bella and Olivia in my last post? Well last Thursday I met Olivia! Unfortunately, Bella couldn't come but I'm going to send her some things soon! Anyway I had a lovely time and we looked at each other's Blythe dolls, shared presents and stuff and had a little chat.

Olivia gave me a really cute pencil, two shell buddies, a blythe doll pillow and pig soft toy, a really cool cherry painting (which is going to be framed and put up on my wall) and some other things.

I gave her a Blythe hat, matching dress that my Mum had 'invented' and a smiley face cushion for the Blythe doll house that she's building!

The meet wasn't very long because Olivia had to go to a school performance that she was part of. I had a great time though!

P.S. There's only one week until I'm on school holidays so I might have another giveaway soon!!!

P.P.S. Over the holidays I'm also going to do a catch up post on our Blythe dolls house!! Does anyone have any ideas on beds or furniture like a couch for the house?

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I haven't really had anything to post about but now I do :)

I had been wanting to make some blythe outfits for a while and today I did!! Well, actually I cut the pieces out and my mum sewed it together but it looked hard so I don't think I would have been able to make it!! Anyway, we made a kimono and the pattern was from here. The only trouble was that there wasn't really any instructions and we had to change a few of the measurements.

I think it looks REALLY cute!! What do you think?

My Mum also made a blythe t-shirt from this pattern.

The other day my friend Sophia gave me a REALLY cute necklace. It has a kimmi junior doll on it - a type of Japanese doll brand that sells keyrings, notebooks, mugs, pens and those sorts of things.

And guess what!! The other day I saw some fabric with dolls that look A LOT like Blythe dolls on here (Emily's flickr) and I asked my Mum if she had any at her work (she works at a fabric/quilting shop). She said yes and that she thought that she'd bought some and it was sitting un-used in her fabric stash!! It's REALLY cute and I'm going to make some dresses for Velvet from it!!! :D YAY!!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say that I was out for most of the day and I didn't get to draw the winners for my giveaway BUT I will hopefully be able to announce them tomorrow!! :D

Today some MORE re-ment/furniture arrived! I had ordered two blythe chairs - one for me and one for Lucinda and they came today!!

They are the right size for blythe and it's easy to sit a blythe doll on them! (minnie and mickey mouse chairs, tut tut!)

The only bad part about them is that there's this funny design number thing that's actuallyprinted onto the chairs! :P

Hello lovely people!

Today I have THREE photos for Audrey Luella's 21 day photo challenge!

Day 11 - your LOVELY friend

As I said in my last post, I would probably be seeing my friend Sophia yesterday and I did, at her little brother's birthday party! (my sister Lucinda was invited) They had lots of fun - bowling and lazer skirmish! I've known this lovely friend since I was a few weeks old and we've been friends ever since!

Day 12 - the sky

We haven't had the nicest weather here - it'll be lovely and sunny one moment and grey, cloudy and pouring with rain the next! But I'd forgotten that sun + rain = a RAINBOW!

Day 13 - your favourite outfit

I love all of my clothes and outfits but my most FAVOURITE would be this -

I especially LOVE my shoes that are from a little shop called imagination concepts or something (I have small and skinny feet and we couldn't find any shoes to fit me ANYWHERE!). The only problem is that we had to get another pair because the stitching had come undone - but the pair I have now a worse than the other ones! My Mum says we might have to get them re-stitched but it's still REALLY ANNOYING! :(

Today I finally got to take my landscape photo for Audrey Luella's 21 day photo challenge, so have a look!

This is a photo of the view from the front of my house after we got home tonight!!

Day 10 - Something close up

For day 10 I decided to take a photo of one of the charms from my Thomas Sabo charm bracelet - a cherry!! I love playing with the charms because they're so smooth and shiny and RED! (one of my most FAVOURITE colours!)

I didn't get to take my photo of a special friend today, BUT I know that I will DEFINITELY (or most likely) be seeing my friend Sophia tomorrow!! So I will post again soon!! I did take some photos of Molly Moon and Velvet Brown though!

The other day I also ordered some re-ment and furniture for the Blythe house and some of it came yesterday! It was a 26 piece set of secondhand hello kitty rement which we bought because it was a GREAT bargain - only $4!!

Then a few hours after we got home tonight, another thing of re-ment that we bought arrived! It was the minnie and mickey mouse table and chairs set! SO CUTE! (even if I still can't work out how I'm meant to sit my Blythe doll on the chair! :P)

Hi everyone!

Day 7 - An animal

For day 7 I took a photo of my cat Ella! She is getting a bit old now and has had a few injuries - she had some of her tail chopped off when she was just a kitten and nearly lost one of her front legs 2 years ago! (don't ask for details :P) To make things even better my little sister and I are allergic to cats (we only worked that out last year). Poor Ella!

Day 8 - Your favourite food

Well this one was kinda hard for me because I love so many different foods! Last night we just so happened to have roast chicken, roast potato, peas and gravy - the perfect dinner on a cold wintery day! Huh?, I hear you saying, I don't see any peas or potatoes in that photo! That's because my Mum and I also made a DELICIOUS Caprese salad with tomatoes, bocconcini and basil!! YUMMMMMYY!!

P.P.S. Lucinda and I have been working hard painting the Blythe house and we're nearly finished! I decided to make Velvet's room double coloured, the same as the loung/kitchen/dining room so that means that the main wall is a colour called 'Hot Pop Red' (hmm I wonder what colour that is?) and the side walls a colour called 'Orange Embers'! Here's a sneaky peeky photo! :D

Helloooooo there

Here are my latest photos for Audrey Luella's 21 Day photo challenge!! I would have done one yesterday but I didn't have enough time. Sometimes I might not post about it until later but I will probably upload it to my flickr! Anyway....

Day 5 - Flowers

In my photo I used some 'Ello' which is a bit like lego. Well not really... You have to thread flowers and shapes onto these plastic stick things and put it onto this plastic square with holes in it. (that's just for this set though - there are different ones I think)

Day 6 - Your favourite toy

Well I think that's pretty obvious ;)

Do you like Velvet's new hat? I made it today because I have just worked out how to make a stripey hat, make the right size pompom (have you ever made a pom pom? it's lots of fun!) I also learnt how to sew in the left over strings from the hat so it stays put and doesn't come undone! :)

I didn't get to post about my photo for day 3 of Audrey Luella's 21 day photo challenge yesterday so I'm going to do it now!!

Day 3 - Something you love:

I love... My books!! I REALLY love reading and I normally have my head stuck in a book! I have several shelves full of them and now I have to pile them on top because I need more room!

Today's photo theme was... Your favourite colour! This one was a bit hard for me because I like lots of colours but my favourite, favourite, FAVOURITE ones are red, blue, green and white!!

The Blythe dolls house - Part 1

Hi there!!

Guess what?! Today my Dad took Lucinda and me to Bunnings to buy wood and supplies to make... A BLYTHE DOLLS HOUSE!!!!!! We also chose lots of paint colour cards because we wanted to paint each room a different colour and we didn't know which colours to choose.

When we got home we got started straight away cutting bits of wood and screwing them together. All of us helped - me, Lucinda and my other little sister.

And... by 4:00 it was finished!! It is very big and it's about 75cm (or seventy something) long, 45cm deep and about 80cm tall!! It is going to have three rooms - a kitchen and lounge on the top and two bedrooms underneath - one for Velvet Brown and one for Molly Moon!!

Tomorrow we're going to start undercoating it before we paint the rooms their proper colours. We've already chosen the colours from the big pile of paint cards that we had!

The back wall in the lounge/kitchen is going to be painted green (called Egan) and the side and top walls are going to be a light blue called 'July'.

Molly Moon's bedroom is going to be a purpley colour called 'Grape Crush'.

And Velvet Brown's room is going to be a warm orange called 'Orange Embers'.

Today I also took my 2nd photo for Audrey Luella's 21 day photo challenge. The theme for today was 'your breakfast'. For breakfast this morning I had scrambled eggs and a half bagel with butter on it! YUM YUM!

Helloooo there!!

Lately I have been looking for Blythe shoes - after all I only had one pair!! So I ordered some Princess Sara shoes. Then a few weeks later I ordered two pairs of blythe converse shoes - one for me and one for Lucinda!!

On Monday the Princess Sara shoes arrived and they are SO cute! But one of the pairs I ordered was wrong so we're going to order some more soon!!

They came in cute little boxes..

They are SO tiny and sweet!

Then on Wednesday the converse shoes arrived and also came with two free badges and a pair of stripey socks!! They are SO cool!!

YAY!!!! I found a post office note in the letter box yesterday and my Mum went to the post office after dinner and... My sister Lucinda's Phoebe Maybe blythe doll was waiting there!!!!! :D (it was her birthday recently and that was one of her pressies!)

Her name is Molly Moon (a character from one of Lucinda's FAVOURITE books)!!! She is SO cute!!! I have been playing with her hair a lot and if I get another blythe I want one with no fringe so that I can do more hairdos!!

So now Velvet has a sister!! Velvet Brown and Molly Moon!!! (plus the LPS Blythes)

Hello!

Last Monday a letter came in the mail. It was from my pen-pal Zali!!! She had sent me the lastest edition of the Miniature Sunday, a miniature magazine she makes for Blythe dolls!!

Zali also sent me a little blue crocheted bag that I'd won on her blog! It's really cool because it fits the Miniature Sunday in it!! In the envelope was also a little I love panda notebook and TINSY TINY green pencil!!!

Tutankhamun Exhibition!

Hi there!

Yesterday my sister had her second birthday party! (last week was the sleepover party) She invited 5 friends to the Tutankhamun Exhibition at the Melbourne Museum!!

We caught the train there and went in to the exhibition. It was FANTASTIC!! Everything they had on display was REAL and was found in either Tutankhamun's tomb or one of his ancestors tombs. They had everything from bowls to ceramic vases which they kept their intestines or lungs or whatever after they had mummified them. The only fake thing there was Tutankhamun's mummy - it was pretty gross so having the real one on display would have been even grosser! (I don't have any photos from the exhibition because you weren't allowed to take a camera in.) I do have a photo of me pulling a bit of a face while we were walking into the Museum though! -

After the Exhibition we went to the museum shop and bought some gemstones. I really like gemstones and now I have quite a few.

We caught the train home and dropped everyone off before going home to a rushed dinner - I had to go to my buddy's sister's party! We were a bit late as we missed a train and had to wait 15 minutes so I missed the start of the party. They were watching Tangled and then we had birthday cake which was YUMMY! My buddy, Georgina (who is in Prep) wrote on the back of my lolly bag. It said -

Hi!!

Yesterday I sent my entry in for the Utterly Awesome Blythe Club competition! For the competition you had to take a photo with the theme of yellow. It also had to have a Blythe doll in it (after all it is a Blythe club!) :)

Velvet Brown doesn't have much clothing yet, so I didn't have anything yellow for her to wear. So my Mum made her a dress especially! I had also made Velvet a crocheted headband so she wore that in the photo too!!

Blythe Crochet

Hellooooo all lovely peoples!!

I have been crochet crochet crocheting Blythe stuff non-stop!! I have made a hippy style headband thingo -

I also made several hats including a red beret style hat that I made the pattern up for myself because the pattern I was following didn't really work out. I guess it didn't help that I was using a size 4 hook instead of 3.5. :P

And after all of that I'm still going..... :P ;)

Oh and the other day my blog/blythe friends Emily, Bella and Zali started up an Utterly Awesome Blythe Club!! You should join! At the moment they're having a competition so click on the logo on the side of my blog for more InFoRmAtIoN!

Easter Holiday

Helllloooooooo

I just got back from a GREAT holiday at my cousin's farm in the country. It was very basic - there were no lights (just LED lights that gave a funny blue light) because there wasn't any electricity. The toilet was a 'nature loo' which meant that it didn't have a flush and I won't explain the rest. I slept in the loft with my sister and cousin while my parents and sister slept in a room on the second storey (the house was three storey) and my Aunty and Uncle slept with my other cousin in a room opposite my parents.

We were pretty much in the middle of no-where - it took us around 10 minutes to drive into the property! The roads on the property were very bumpy (well they weren't exactly roads - they were more like tracks) Although we weren't near any shops or anything we still had loads of fun - I crocheted some cute things for Velvet Brown (which I'll show you soon), we dyed eggs for Easter, had an Easter egg hunt and got lots of chocolate BUT best of all - we rode on the QUAD-BIKE!!!!!!!

On Easter Sunday we had a lamb roast and my Uncle made a fire outside so we could cook the dinner (there was no oven) and also roast marshmallows! I had never roasted marshmallows before - nor had I used a sparkler! I was trying to write my name with mine and my Mum took some pictures of us using them -

Yesterday we also went to the local races. I got some yummy fairy floss while the others either got a snow cone or a lolly pop (not my parents or aunty and uncle though) We bet on several horses - Tee off Tiger and Miss Pinkalot in one race and Diamonds at Dusk in the other race. Sadly we didn't win anything :( Later on we saw some of the horses which was so cool! It makes me want to learn to ride again - when I was 3/4/5 I was a HUGE fan of the Saddle Club (and horses too!)

On the way home today we stopped at a mini golf centre for lunch and a game. I really wanted to go with my Mum and Aunty to the antique shop but it was either that or mini golf :P After we played mini golf my Mum called me into the antique shop which was HUGE! I was hoping to find a Blythe doll there but sadly there wasn't any. Instead my Mum had found me a GEORGEOUS old sewing basket! It has green and yellow roses on the lid and is VERY pretty! I can't take a photo now (it's too dark) but I'll show you in my next post. Or tomorrow.

Holidays...

Yesterday my friend Sunday came over for a sleepover! We looked at Blythe dolls (we're totally obsessed! :P), watched the Brady Brunch (the best TV show EVER and I'm watching it right now :P on channel 11) and also played a card game called Blink. Blink is a game where you have 30 cards each and you have two piles that you have to try and put your cards in. They have to match somehow - by their colour, shape or the number of shapes on the card. It's so fun and really addictive!

After Sunday left, we went shopping (and coincidently ran into Sunday again ;) and I got a Littlest Pet Shop love's Blythe set called 'Sightseeing Cute'! It came with an adorable doll, two pets and other accessories -

I'm thinking of naming her Chelsea which is a famous place in London (on the box my doll came in it says that she's sightseeing in London). If I call her Chelsea it also sounds cute if I make her name Chelsea Brown like Velvet! I also like the name Imogen or maybe Catherine (as in Catherine/Kate Middleton :)

Crocheting

You've probably read in one of my earlier posts that my Mum taught me how to crochet last weekend. Well, I decided to make a little blanket for Velvet and finally finished the blocks today. It's red, pale blue, pale green and white and is 4 blocks down and 5 blocks across. Now all My Mum and I need to do is work out a way to sew the blanket together - any ideas anyone? Holidays, a new hat and other awesomeness!

Finally it's the holidays! School finished up on Friday at 2:30PM - earlier than usual. The Grade 5's had just got back from camp for most of the week and us Grade 6's were bunched together (we're normally in 5/6 grades) so I got to spend time with some of my other friends.

The first few days of the holidays have been fun. On Sunday I started an easter egg costume for Velvet (which I haven't finished yet) -

On Monday my Mum taught me how to crochet. I started a bear hat for my Blythe in a really soft, pretty aqua wool and my Mum finished it for me -

The other day I also joined the Crafting for Blythe {Kids} swap on flickr. My friend Emily and her Mum started it the other day and it's going to be heaps of fun! We had to make an inspiration mosaic for our partner. Here's mine -

School Fete & stuff

Hello fellow readers of my blog,

On Saturday we had our school fete. One of my friends, Stevie-Lou, was selling button jewellery that she'd made. I bought two pairs of earrings and a ring with four buttons on it. My Mum also bought a big pink ring and my sister bought some earrings because she is getting her ears pierced for her Birthday. I think nearly every girl in grade 6 that has their ears pierced bought some earrings from her! Here's a picture of the things I bought -

I also helped my friend at their plaster cast stall where you can get a coloured cast on your arm! I was helping with the money and running little errands like getting change from the office etc. After that I bought some fairy floss and watched my friends do some dances for their dance school in the talent show.

We also had a special thing where all the money we raise at the snow cone stall is donated to the Japanese crisis so I bought a snow cone too.

We don't know how much we raised in total yet but I will post it when I find out.

Also, today one of my friends gave me a birthday present - and no, my birthday isn't over yet! -

It's a really cool purple egg clock from smiggle that shows the time, temperature, date, a timer, an alarm and colour changing heat sensors. They also gave me a cute notebook and pen!!

Have you tried the game 'Tiny Wings'? I have it on my iPod touch and it is AWESOME!! You should try it if you have an iPod/iPhone thingy...

Mail... for me?!

Yesterday something came in the mail from my friend Zali. It was the second edition of the Miniature Sunday, a little Blythe/doll magazine she makes. People send in stories and a photo and if you're lucky, she'll publish it in the mag!!

Zali has a blog called Picking Daisies and she's going to do a post about the third edition of The Miniature Sunday soon. I wasn't part of the second edition but Zali kindly sent me one anyway. I'm DEFINITELY submitting a story for the next edition and so is my friend Megan. The best part about the magazine is that at the end, she sends you a copy - and it's Blythe size too!!

On Wednesday the outfit I had bought for Velvet on etsy came in the mail!!

The set also came with some really cute red and white stripey socks but it's a bit hard to get them on.

After school today I went to my favourite shop in the world and bought a Daisy Lane swapcard book!!! My friend Sophia had given me two 6 packs of Daisy Lane swapcards for my Birthday the other day -

I am really happy at the moment because yesterday my Mum and I made Velvet a new dress!

Yesterday we also went to the shops and bought some t-shirt fabric (that makes about 30 t-shirts!) and pretty Japanese style satin which I'm going to make a kimonos and dresses from from -

We also got some pretty little things to sew on dresses and other clothes as well as velcro and snap buttons to hold the clothes together -

A few days ago I was looking on the Blythedoll website and on their News section there was report on the SYDNEY BLYTHE CONVENTION!!!! Sadly the Melbourne one was two years ago though and the location for this year's convention isn't that close.

I also had my birthday party last night. I had invited 4 of my friends but sadly two girls were sick so only two girls could come. We still had heaps of fun though! We went to see Gnomeo and Juliet at the movies, walked home, had nachos and tacos for dinner, played Glee Karaoke on the Wii and then had ice-cream cake!

A few days ago it was my birthday. I got some AWESOME pressies - including a BLYTHE DOLL!!!!!!!!!!

She is a Raspberry Sorbet. I haven't named her yet but I have some ideas - Octavia, Mietta or Velvet Brown.

Captains and Buddies!!

Hi

I have been a bit busy lately which is why I haven't been posting.

But I have good news!! We got our buddies and most of the 2011 captains were announced! My buddy is really cute and her name is Georgina. Some of my friends have two buddies and I wish I'd got two as well.

I also got IRC Captain!! (which was my second preference after Class Captain which my friend Holli got) We (Brianna and me, the other IRC Captain) help our IRC teacher by putting books back on the shelves and with anything else she needs done. I'm really looking forward to doing so because I love reading - which is why it's the perfect job for me

Now I'm looking forward to my birthday!! (which is in a few days) I'm probably not doing much - just going to the movies or something with a few friends.

The Weekend

Yesterday we went to the dentist and had our teeth looked at. I didn't need any fillings (I haven't had any so far!) and my dentist said I probably won't need braces (yay!). In the end I just had my teeth cleaned. The dentist said that my tartar is like concrete and is harder than most old men's! How weird is that?! Anyway, my teeth feel really good and clean now and we each (me and my sisters) got a goody bag with a toothbrush (that I can't use because I need an electric one), two small tubes of toothpaste, two small containers of floss and some stickers.

Today we're not doing much but tomorrow Daphne's starting school and is really excited. I can't wait until I get a buddy (or buddies!). My teacher says that she's worked out the buddies already but the Prep teachers have to confirm or something. We do lots of fun activities with our buddies such as have a teddy bears picnic, make them a Digital Portfolio and just spend time with them.

Oooohh I'm so excited and I think Grade 6 is going to be the best year yet!!!!!!!

First day back!

Today school started again. It felt like a Monday because we had assembly and set up the classroom, except for the fact that I was in a new class and it was a Friday. It was good to see my friends again because I hadn't caught up with them. One of my friends gave me an orange flavoured lip balm. It was shaped like a soft drink can. Another one of my friends gave all of us some bracelets she'd made out of wool over the holidays.

Cool huh?

I'm so excited because there are only 20 something days until my birthday!!! I'm probably not doing much, maybe having a few friends over or something.

New haircut!

Today Lucinda, Daphne, Mum and I went to the hairdressers. Daphne had hers cut first, then Lucinda and finally me (Mum didn't have her hair cut). Here are some before and after shots -

I really like my new cut and I think it suits me. It feels really healthy and smooth - even better now that I've washed it!

Tomorrow school starts - eeek!! I'm really excited because I'm now in Grade 6, the top of the block!! I'm also a bit nervous because I have a strict teacher.

Anyway, I had better get ready for bed - early night because I'm really tired and have been going to bed quite late...

Sleepover with Megan!

Yesterday I went to my friend Megan's house for a sleepover. It was funny because she didn't even know I was coming and when she saw me she had this really surprised look on her face! We went to the pool, had a yummy dinner of pizza and french fry chips. We also did a few other things and also played on their super cool trampoline - it's so big!

I showed her what a blythe doll is and she fell in love with them (I think!). Her favourite is called "Le Jardin de Maman" which is French for "the Garden Mama". My favourites at the moment are Raspberry Sorbet, Snowflake Sonata, Vinter Arden and Simply Chocolate. We looked at lots of dolly re-ment (plastic dollhouse stuff) and it was all so cute!!

Thank-you Megan, I had THE BEST time (as always!) You're a great friend!!

I can't believe that there's only one more day of the holidays left! Tomorrow I'm getting a haircut - I'll show you a before and after pic when I do another post.

A day at the Pool

Today I went to the pool with some friends. We played in the main pool. We did lots of handstand competitions, stitting down competitions and also played in the playground for a bit. There were HEAPS of kids from our school there. After a while we ate some stuff then went back in the pool. Here is a photo of me and my friend -

An hour or so later we got hungry again so we bought some hot chips and wedges. They were delicious!! Then we went back in the pool for the last time. Soon after it was getting a bit cold so we got out and bought some icy poles. I got an orange flavoured sunny-boy. Suddenly it started raining! It was quite funny watching people climb out of the water in crowds and dash to collect their stuff before it got wet. Then we went back through the building and it had stopped raining!

Last few days

The last few days have been fun. We went to Chaddy on Friday, watched the women's tennis final while sewing my owl cushion on Saturday afternoon -

Anyway, on Sunday we went to my cousin Angus' 5th Birthday brunch. Straight after that I had Brainworks and then after that we went to my Mum's friends Michelle and Gavin's house for dinner.

Today I'm going to the pool with some friends so I'll post again later!!

Hi there!

I am very excited because on blythedoll.com they have shown the final design for the blythe doll Raspberry Sorbet! She comes out on the 18th of February - just before my birthday!!

Anyway, we didn't do much today. I painted my toenails (not very interesting but here's a picture of them) -

Later on we went to my Mum's work to drop of a quilt for someone. I got a backing fabric for my owl cushion.

What do you think of the backing? Up close it has leaves on it. I think it looks really cool!

Yesterday we went to Bendigo to see one of my Mum's school friends. It took two hours to get there so we watched the Brady Bunch on our portable DVD player while we drove there.

Nana and Grandad's House

Today I went to my Nana and Grandad's House because both my Mum and Dad were working. I had brought the owl cushion I am making for one of Mum's friend's daughters (okay I am just going to call it Sophie's owl cushion from now on) to sew while I was there.

I sewed for a few hours stopping to eat a brownie and have lunch. I blanket stitched around the body, wings and beak so now I only have to sew around the owl, do it's claws and feathers. I will post a picture of it soon.

Tomorrow I am going to one of my Mum's friends' houses for Australia day. It's going to be quite warm so I'm bringing my bathers to swim in their pool.

Yesterday morning I found a clock website where you can get the code for a clock and put it on your blog. I chose a cherry clock and I think it looks really good!

Later on in the afternoon, my cousins Lexie and Angus came over for a sleepover. We played outside for a while before coming in for dinner - fish and chips. Then we watched 'Tooth Fairy' while eating ice-cream, nerds and panda biscuits. It was fun!

I was up till 10 again last night because Daphne kept getting up. At one stage she said to my Mum "I need food"!

Anyway we're about to eat our breakfast - yummy pancakes!!

A fun few days

On Wednesday we went to the shoe shop with my Nana and bought Daphne her first school shoes. My Nana bought each of us (me and my cousins) our first pair of school shoes. I haven't worn school shoes since grade 3 but I wanted them again this year. In the end I got some school shoes and runners.

Later on I went to my friend Sophia's house for a sleepover. Together we played Blink! (a card game), boxing on the Wii and looked at blythe things on the computer. We also made her a new blog called 'Miss Sundays blog'. Before we went to bed we watched Mean Girls. It was a good movie.

The next day we picked up my sister Lucinda and went bowling. We played two games - Sophia won the first and Lukas won the second game. Then Christina (Sophia and Lukas' mum) bought us some tokens to play games with. After that we went to McDonalds for lunch before going home.

At home we looked at blythe dolls again and did some more boxing on the wii before my Mum arrived. I had the best time (even though I have really sore muscles from boxing!)

Helllooooo everyone! (if anyone actually reads my blog - I think it's just me!)

Happy New Year!!(12 days late) I feel a bit silly as I haven't posted for 6 months! But anyway, I'm going to get back into the posting groove.

I'm on holidays at the moment and going into Grade 6. I received some AWESOME pressies for Christmas. (Including stuff from Kikki.K in the pic below).

Anyway, I have been looking at blythe dolls a lot lately. I really want one so I'm asking for one for my birthday which is in February!

Two weeks down - how many more to go???

Hi there

I can't believe two weeks have gone by so quickly - how many more to go???

Lately at school we have been doing lots of Dream House and I have nearly finished all of my rooms. On Monday I did GATEWAYS and it was really fun. It was called 'Who killed Professor Wordsmith'. We learnt about anagrams, homophones and solved cryptic puzzles written by the Professor.

Today (Saturday) I went swimming at 7:30 in the morning!!! It was lots of fun because my friend Sophia also did it. Then after that we were both really hungry so we went to a cafe in Murrumbeena called 'World of Food'. Sophia and I both had pancakes with maple syrup and vanilla ice-cream - yummy!!!

Coming up this week I have another GATEWAYS on Monday (same one as last week) and we will continue trying to work out who killed Professor Wordsmith. Then on Tuesday we have the House Sports. Hopefully I can finish all of my Dream House rooms and put the roof on the house - then it will finally be done!!

Term 3!

The first week of term 3 is finished. We did heaps of Dream House, which was really fun because we started to build the nets of the house!! I have nearly finished my rooms, I just have to colour them in, finish the other rooms, glue them together and add up how much I spent on my garden. We also started Tournament of Minds which is really fun!! The other people in my team are Charlette, Holli, Ishka, Stephanie, Kit and Hannah. We named our team 'Sprite', which we first thought meant 'to grow' or something like that, but then I looked it up in the dictionary and it actually meant 'elf or fairy'!!

I am really looking forward to G.A.T.E.W.A.Y.S on Monday. The name of the class is 'Who Killed Professor Wordsmith?'. It sounds like fun because we have a list of suspects to who killed the Professor and we have to figure out who killed him.

School holidays

Hi there

Here is an update of what I have been doing during the holidays so far:

Monday - Stayed home because Lucinda and Daphne weren't feeling well. :(

Tuesday - Stayed home because Lucinda and Daphne still weren't feeling well and Mum was at work.

Wednesday - We went to Chadstone to get Lukas' birthday present which was a $20 gift voucher and a blue smiggle soccer ball rubber. Then later on in the afternoon we went to Sophia and Lukas' house to celebrate Lukas' birthday before they went on holiday.

Today (Thursday) - We stayed home again because Daphne still wasn't feeling well.

So as you can probably tell we have mostly been at home relaxing. Next week will be better because I am having my friend Mia over for a sleepover.

I am also really excited about the Hairspray Musical. Hopefully I can go see it with my friends Sophia and Mia!!!

Hi there!

I hope you like my new background. I was looking at my friend's blogs and I noticed that they had posted (after about 6 months!) and that they had done a new background.

Here's an update of what's been happening in my life lately -

During term 2 we did Earn and Learn, which is a program that our school does every 2 years. Us students learn how to have our own businesses, how to handle our own money and much more. We also did Dream House, where we learn how to build our own houses! I also signed up for a thing called Tournament of Minds. We are put into groups of 7 or 8 and solve problems, although we haven't started solving the problems yet. At the end of the term we got our reports and I got an A for reading, another for writing and another for maths!!

Then to start the holidays I went to my friend Megan's birthday party on Saturday. We went to Fun City (I think) and we went Go Karting, Sumo Wrestling, on a Laser mission and 10 pin bowling. It was so much fun! We were all so full of lollies and pizza that we went to sleep really quickly.

Weet-bix Tryathlon

Today I did the 2010 Weet-bix Tryathlon. I was a bit nervous because it was my first time, but I enjoyed it. I was in the 10 yr old girls group with Holli, Alice, Victoria, Ali, Evelyn, Eleni and Maela. First we had to a 100 metre swim (that was my least favourite bit). The water was green and it was getting into my mouth - boy was I thirsty after that! Then we had to go to the bike area, pull a top and shoes on and start riding. It was a 3km ride and it was a bit tiring but I think that was my favourite part of the Tryathlon. After that we had to put our bikes back and run the last 500 metres of the race. I'm sooooo glad I did it and I'm sure I'll be back next year!

Back 2 School!

Hi there,

I can't believe that the holidays have gone by so fast! - I go back to school on Monday. I have already got all my stuff - runners, pencilcase etc.

One really exciting thing that other people might not find that interesting is that I am starting tennis comps on Sunday!! I am probably going to get a tennis dress to match my tennis shoes that I got yesterday. The only bad thing is that in our team there are two boys who are younger than us and we don't even know them!!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it's the start of a new decade - as they always say, time goes past quickly when you're having fun!!

A few months ago, I started publishing a story, for a competition but I decided to change the story and cut out bits because the story could be no more than 500 words. I was one of the finalists, but in the end, I wasn't one of the winners. Although, my story is going to be published in a book, Extreme Read published by Write For Fun (the website with the competition that I entered).

I can't believe there is only one more day of 2009!

I have had a great year. In school I have finished grade 4, completed my first house althletics, made many new friends and won the house sports for 2009. Out of school I have finished second grade in violin and now I am working on third grade.

Nearly a week ago, it was Christmas Eve. Boy, it took me sooooooo long to get to sleep, I got to sleep sometime after 1:00!! I was really tired on Christmas day!

Hi there,

It is now the holidays and my family and I are still getting last minute Christmas pressies - and it's Christmas Eve today - Christmas Day tomorrow!!

The other day I found out my new class. I am going to be in 5/6D Miss Sison's grade. I am so excited because I have got one of the best teachers! My friends in the grade are Nikola, Alice, Victoria, Claudia and Ally - except I don't really know her because I have never been in her grade before.

Oh my gosh! It's nearly 2010!!

I am really excited because next year when we're in Grade 5 we do the inter school sport teams. I am going to be on the Girls Softball team.

I'm also really excited because we're going to be in a composite grade - unless on of the Grade 5/6 teachers becomes a Grade 5 teacher or a Grade 6 teacher.

Outside of school I'm soooooooooo excited because my friends Mia L, Mia P and I are starting a tennis team!!!!! As I said before I'm sooooooooo excited. The only bad thing is that we're going to be with one boy that is younger than us and we don't even know them!

Well, now I'm off to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, which has just come out on DVD!

Happy Halloween!!

Today was Halloween! I had a party at my house. The people invited were, Sophia, Mia, Lukas, Oliver, Scarlet and Lachie (plus Lucinda and Daphne). I dressed up as Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. It was sooooo hot that I had to take my cape and wig of and I couldn't wear leggins.

I haven't been on for a while because I have been on a school program called SuperClubs PLUS. It is sooooooo much fun!

Today I made a heart shaped hanging softie. Now it is hanging on my bedroom door. I love sewing!

The other day our school choir (and grade four singing group which I am in) performed in the Waverley Estedford at the Robert Blackwood Hall. The songs we performed were Hymn to Freedom and Song of Peace. Although we didn't win, I still had loads of fun! As Mr Boocher (our music teacher) said, we are going for the experience, not the prize, which was $500 dollars!

Tomorrow my cousins are coming over to celebrate my Uncle Stuart's birthday. We are also celebrating his daughter (my cousin) Jessica's birthday. We might also be going to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince tomorrow! I am sooooooooo excited!

Another thing I did the other day was enter the Write4Fun writer's competition, my story was called, What are you good at? The prize is $1000 dollars - $500 to the school and $500 to me - I am soooooo excited. You also get a choice of a Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS lite, a Sony Digital Camera or a iPod nano - I would choose the Wii, because we don't have one and I already have a Camera, an iPod shuffle and a Nintendo DS lite.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I have been playing on SuperClubs PLUS. (Something we do at school.)

Oh my gosh! I am so happy! I just found my iPod last night! It was in my wordrobe! I feel so silly!

Today was the last day of Auskick and Lucinda got a medal. It was Parents vs Kids and the Parents won. I wasn't part of the game though. I was playing with Sophia and Maddy and Daphne. Oh and Lukas because he didn't want to do Auskick.

My Mum is at the Stitches and Craft show in Sydney right now. We are going to pick her up on Sunday night at 10 o'clock! How late is that?!

What a day!!

Boy am I tired!! Today was the 2009 Athletics. The activities were discus, shot-put, long jump, high jump, triple jump and 100, 200 and 800 metre running.

The group I was in was 9-10 year old Blue and Gold girls and they were - from blue house, Ali P, Victoria, Issy, Claudia, Brianna, Eloise, Ashleigh, Emily and me of course! Then from Gold house there was - Olivia L, Olivia R, Ally C, Kit, Sophie, Cate, Melina, Eleni, Mim and Elena. (Sorry if I forgot anyone!)

After a FANTASTIC and very tiring day, Miss Wall announced the end results.

The end results were...

1st - Gold House

2nd - Blue House - GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd - Red House

4th - Green House

Chapter 2 - No more tap lessons

Hi there

I don't have much to blog about right now, but here is what I have been doing.

On Saturday I went to my Nana & Grandad's house for a sleepover because my Mum and Dad were staying at a friend's house for a night. Today is Sunday and I am still at my Nana & Grandad's house - we are getting ready for my Aunty's family birthday party but poor Grandad is still in bed because his back is sore.

Now for the second chapter of Arabella and the Amazing talent -

Chapter 2 - No more tap lessons.

"Hello? Oh, hi, it's Casey Maconally, I'm just ringing to say that Arabella won't be attending tap lessons anymore. I know, it's a real shame. Okay, thanks, bye!"
"Done! said Arabella's Mum, Casey, No more tap lessons. What are you going to try next; showjumping?" said her Mum teasingly.
"Mum! stop it!" groaned Arabella as she hit her knee on the kitchen bench.

The next day was a school day. Arabella went to Kilvington Girls Grammar and she was in Grade Four. "I've quit tap." Arabella told Jamie at break time before art.
"Why? asked Jamie, You were nearly up to my grade."
"Well, I wasn't very good and you know I wasn't." aswered Arabella.
Suddenly, the bell rang. "Quick! squealed Jamie, Mrs Heelsby hates it when we're late!

So they ran off to art.

Arabella and the Amazing Talent. Written by Chloe P.

Chapter 1 - Just try again!

"This is so FRUSTRATING!!!" exclaimed Arabella. "I only had my tap lessons yesterday and I have already forgotten the steps!"

Arabella assumed she was hopeless at everything. She had tried Karate, but stopped after when after only one year, several younger kids reached brown belt, but Arabella was only on red belt. Then she tried netball, but always forgot the rules and never got goals. Now she was trying tap but she wasn't remembering the steps in the correct order and their concert was in just one week. On the other hand, she was still good at maths and english and school stuff but to Arabella, that was nothing compared to what her best friend Jamie, who Arabella admired enormously, could do. Jamie could play the violin, do gymnastics, play the piano, but the thing Arabella admired about Jamie most was... she could dance! It didn't matter what type of dancing it was. From Tap to Hip Hop, from Ballet to Jazz, Jamie could do it.

"OK, said Arabella to herself, just calm down and try again." So she tried again. And again. And again. Until finally she gave up.

Just another ordinary day...

Hi there!

Well, nothing special happened today - it was just another ordinary day. I had a good day at school. We had Art and Music. In art we started to make flip books. My flip book is going to be about a flood - we are studying Natural Disasters this term. In music we played on the recorder we played Bush Dance, Rocki Toki Unga and the Cabbage Cafe. It was lots of fun. After school I had my violin lesson.

Yesterday I had the best time at my friend Holli's birthday party. Her friends (who are my friends too.) and cousins came and their names were... Alice, Nikola, Perri, Tess, Mim and I and her cousins were Sienna, Hugh, Kiara and Kynon. (Sorry if I spelt their names wrong!) We also all got a prize and I won a pair of earrings, which I am wearing right now.

Today I am going to Build a Bear and I am getting an Owl bear. It is soooooooooo cute!

I can't believe it's the last couple of hours of the last day of the holidays - I am sooooooooo excited about going back to school tomorrow!
